HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?

As each body and its internal and external environments are different there can be a varying degrees in the time it can take to see results in your sleep. You will be provided with a better idea on how long your program may be once you have completed your initial intake.

WILL I HAVE TO CHANGE MY WHOLE LIFE?

Small changes in our lives can mean big differences in our sleep and our health. You will be guided and supported throughout your program to ensure success.

HOW DOES DIET AND LIFESTYLE RELATE TO SLEEP?

Without providing our bodies with essential nutrients we are at risk of causing imbalances in our body systems which can have negative impacts on our ability to sleep. For example, blood sugar imbalances can cause the hormone cortisol to be released as we sleep, which can cause us to wake during the night and feel hungry.

Stress, shift work and other lifestyle factors can also have negative impacts on our sleep. The FoodForSleep Programs provide tools to help you manage various lifestyle factors.

ARE YOU A DOCTOR?

No, our practitioners are not doctors and do not practice under the Regulated Health Acts and Regulations legislation.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DIETITIAN AND A REGISTERED HOLISTIC NUTRITIONIST?

Dietitians are bound by the Canada Food Guide created by the Canadian Government and have a rigid approach. Registered Holistic Nutritionists realize there cannot be a "one size fits all" approach and considers individual differences in each body and focus on diet, lifestyle, current health conditions as well as emotional and spiritual health.
